Richard Weaver

Richard Weaver is the founder and driving force behind RW Chassis Works.

With a background in complex metal fabrication and involvement in historically significant restoration projects, he has developed a specialist understanding of vintage chassis construction, structural riveting, period-correct materials and traditional manufacturing techniques.

Working closely with collectors, restorers and engineers, he oversees projects from initial assessment and research through to design development, fabrication and final alignment. His focus is consistent: preserving engineering authenticity while delivering structural integrity and reliable performance.

Our Philosophy

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eir mod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat.

At RW Chassis Works, our philosophy is based on understanding how early cars were built and how they were intended to function.

Pre-war chassis were engineered within the limits of the materials and tools available at the time. They were not static structures. They moved and worked as part of the overall mechanical system. When restoring, repairing or recreating them, those characteristics matter.

We study original construction methods, geometry and material choices before deciding how to intervene. Traditional techniques are used where appropriate. Modern processes are applied carefully where they add clarity or efficiency.

Accuracy, structural integrity and mechanical behaviour come first. Visual correctness follows from getting those fundamentals right.
